Two months’ (8 weeks) High School Student Exchange Program based on Reciprocity (non-profit)

In cooperation with the Bavarian Youth Council, the School Exchange Bavaria-Western Cape will once again offer a non-profit student exchange program based on reciprocity with Bavaria in Germany.

The basis of this program is that it is a reciprocal exchange: This means that South African students live with a carefully chosen Bavarian partner family and attend the Bavarian high schools for 8 weeks. Conversely, the Bavarian students spend 8 weeks in a Bavarian partner family and school.

  • Beginning of August - End of September 2026 - Bavarian Students in South Africa

  • Mid May - Mid July 2027 - South African Students in Bavaria
